Estancia Las Quinas
Fresh new packaging from Argentina based Tridimage (winners of the package design makeover challenge). AGLH, an Argentine producer of honey, was in need of a new brand identity and a distinctive packaging design for its premium range of honeys Estancia Las Quinas. Here is what Tridiamge has to say about the stunning design they created:
"The graphic concept relies on the particularities of the Argentine Pampas, its vast extension, the poetry of the landscape, and its natural purity. To magnify the product’s impact, the communication leverages on the fantasies of the foreign consumer, positioning the brand from a poetic angle. Translating poetry into images, design aimed at seducing both local and global consumers." More pics after the jump.
R Design_Selfridges & more
A new studio in my favorite's list: R Design Studio based in London.
They are well known for the design of the Selfridges & co. food and beverages lines, but I suggest to visit their website to look also the lines they designed for Tesco.
Their interest in packaging is deep, also the site graphics, shaping a supermarket interior, gives emphasis to their exclusive devotion to pack.

Tcho-colate

Louis Rossetto, co-founder of Wired magazine, has turned tech into taste with his new start-up, TCHO Chocolate. One of the few companies in the US that make chocolate from the bean (not just remelt pre-made chocolate), TCHO is joining the ranks of true chocolate makers like Scharffen-Berger, Theo and old giants like Guittard.
We thought the subtle tech-references were cute - they call the first version of their bars 'Beta chocolate', and their 'latest release' is 'Beta Batch: C Ghana 0.1' - all references to software and tech-talk.
Still, the packaging is appealingly low-tech with simple print on unbleached recycled paper. I'm curious if the packaging is beta, too and will get 'upgraded' over time!
